Assistant Procurement Manager - Logistics [Turkey]


 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Delivery of the cost savings and cash objectives.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for the procurement of the respective categories.
  • Supplier relationship management and service development.

    Handling professionally diverse customer supplier or operational issues when they arise.
  • Identifying metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies.
  • Supporting development and implementation of Unilever procurement strategies/policies.
  • Handling 3PL benchmark studies, market research and tender management in TUI region.
  • Execute procurement and sourcing strategies for categories under management.
  • Ensuring that logistics procurement projects are in line with company policies and safety&security standards.
  • Identify opportunities and conduct projects to generate cost saving, cash and value-added advantages for categories under management.
  • Analyze demand, markets and suppliers to create logistics procurement strategy.
  • Follow company rules for risk and contract management.
  • Analyzing scope of supply and contract agreements, carrying out risk analyses and introducing negotiation recommendations to prepare for negotiations with suppliers and to initiate appropriate measure
  • Prepare and conduct negotiations and tenders and manage commercial relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Develop partnerships and negotiate pricing, NDA’s, Master Agreements, Amendments, Addendums and renewals with vendors aligning both local and global teams.
  • Deliver on key financial targets such as savings and cash flow improvement by applying smart buying tools.
  • Understand and manage the expectation of internal stakeholders, provide procurement support for them
  • Working closely with operation team, legal, quality, Safety&Security teams both local and global level.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Scope: Responsible of 50 m € spend at TUI region.
  • Support to deliver Global logistics strategies and implement in local business.( WCL, LSSS, etc. )
  • Learning local business needs and requirements. Develop strong and effective interfaces to be connect to company needs.
  • Support & Lead the negotiations, develop strong relationship with suppliers & learn their market abilities.
  • Building logistics strategic plan in respective region.
  • Constant Explore and analyze saving opportunities to generate sustainable savings.
  • Building the whole infrastructure for successful negotiation with supplier.
  • Analyzing supplier's behavior, spend, and past performance.
  • Verifying supplier compliance, Audits required date as integral part of negotiation.( Usqs, rsp, etc. )
  • Seeking for new development areas with supplier.
  • Assessing, identify and select the appropriate supplier base that would meet the needs of the business.
  • Generate local contracts via CLM, Jaggaer, etc systems.
  • Fully ensuring supplier compliance.
  • Seeking for alternative suppliers to build and maintain resilient, agile and effective supplier pool.
  • Participating to regular telecons with global logistics teams.
  • Developing safety, Co2 emission, efficiency etc. strategies with suppliers and support global logistics road map at local level.
  • Supporting global team to have a better understanding on local business requirements and special needs.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Procurement is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high change environment.
  • Analytical thinking and proven ability to solve problems and sustain results through a data driven process
  • Fluency in English and Turkish is a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English
  • Negotiation & commercial skills
  • Efficient Time management – Multitasking
  • Able to work with a variety of IT systems and have a strong knowledge of Excel & Power point
  • Strong on execution, have analytical skills and be pro-active.
  • Working independently and virtually.
  • Able to build relationships with people across the business (internally & externally).
