The team you'll be part of

The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.

You will work in a team or independently for integration, validation, configurations implementation, troubleshooting, run acceptance tests or perform field trials or proof of concepts for Nokia and sometimes third-party (Cisco, Juniper) IP Solutions, using all IP protocols and services for all newest technologies in IP networking. You will be part of the IP Network Transport team, will be receiving projects-based assignments to perform activities for all our customers, mainly in Europe but also in Middle East and Africa, mainly remote but sometimes it will require some travels.


What you will learn and contribute to

  • Performs software testing, upgrades on customer networks to ensure the integrated solution works.
  • Works with customers, architects, solutions to perform detailed design and integration of all parts of the solution, multivendor equipment and the related IP services.
  • Has deep knowledge and usage of IP protocols and features
  • Develops customized test list documents and Method of Procedures.
  • Applies standard design, development and testing processes in customer environment - Performs on site pre-acceptance and acceptance testing of the delivered product or solution.
  • Executes a test strategy, test architecture, integration test plan, migration test plan, up to customer acceptance.
  • Maintains and improves interfaces with technical personnel from other Nokia multi-regional groups and organizations involved in process (Project Manager, Maintenance Service Managers, Regional Technical Support, Technical Expertise Center, Welcome Center, etc.).
  • Participates in technical meetings and conference calls related with responsibilities.
  • Investigates, isolates and drives problems reported by customer to a closure.

Your skills and experience

You have:

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of the IP protocols and services (BGP, L2/L3 services, QoS, Segment routing, etc)
  • Strong team-player, flexible, easy trainee, capable of self-studying;
  • Linux/Unix skills and experience.

Nice to have:

  • 3 years (or more) experience in IP area;
  • Cisco and/or Juniper or ALU/Nokia certifications or equivalent proven experience
  • Knowledge of hypervisors, like KVM, VMware;
  • Knowledge and experience in using various test and measurement equipment, like Spirent, IXIA;
  • Languages: mandatory English; other languages are a nice add
