Overview / Responsibilities
Bilfinger Tebodin currently offers an opportunity for civil and structure engineers interested in working for an extended time in France on a large and important energy project with an international team. For younger graduated technicians, it is an true opportunity to deepen existing basic knowledge in a highly qualified manner, and for more experienced graduated technicians, it is an opportunity to expand their skills to lead a few designers smaller design teams.
Work description:
- 3D Design of the structural ( secondary steel, platforms under equipment and pipe support bridges ) for equipment and selected interconnection piping routes using applicable standards, project technical specifications and Client´s project procedures
- Designing in 3D structural software (design and calculation) and inserting into 3D PDMS model via. stp format transfer or similar way.
- Generating structural units and part drawings from the structural 3D model
- Load calculation and determination of reactions ( Forces ) transmitted into foundations or into anchors
- Preparation of and updates to project main design structural deliverables including structural schemes for calculations, structural units and parts drawings, units / part´s List incl. It is Material Specifications for exact items determination important for further procurement actions like issue Requests for Quotations from structural steel suppliers and final purchase.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Graduated ( Diploma in Civil engineering ), Bachelor or Master degree
- Willingness to stay and to design in France (Lyon) for longer period of time (12-24 months)
- Candidates with 2-10 years of relevant design experience in industrial plants design range are preferred
- Eurocodes knowledge necessary
- Deep knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g. SCIA, Dlubal, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of the design software AVEVA (PDMS) – if need training for the PDMS will be arranged by our company prior the departure to France
- Further 3D optional piping design software (for example Plant 3D, etc.)
- English language knowledge - communicative level, French language knowledge is the advantage
