As an Intern at Kvadrat Acoustics, you will have the chance to work closely with our experienced professionals and contribute to real-life projects. You will gain valuable insights into acoustic design, manufacturing processes, project management, and client relations.
Job Description:
We are looking for an intern to join our Research & Design team here in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. You will be responsible for designing, testing, and finalizing a new version of one of our existing products. This will require a thorough analysis of the existing product, as well as well-documented research process on possible new measures and improvements for the new version. You must draw this new product in Inventor - it is not a requirement to know the program in advance, but a plus if you do!
Your tasks will be as following:
- Build 3D models in Autodesk Inventor.
- Price calculations in collaboration with our production.
- Prepare production drawings.
- Test your product through physical mockups and models.
- Document your tests.
- Create an installation guide for your product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our design and engineering teams to develop innovative acoustic solutions.
- Create visually engaging presentations and illustrations using e.g. InDesign and Illustrator.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the refinement of acoustic products.
- Contribute fresh ideas and creative input to enhance our product offerings.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled as a design student at a design school.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Curious and willing to learn, even if you have no prior knowledge of acoustics.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Work Hours and Language:
In our office, we primarily speak English as we have a diverse team including individuals from different parts of the world.
With approximately 25 people in our office, we have a close-knit team that encourages collaboration and innovation. Our standard working hours are from 8:00 to 16:00, however we can talk about an adaptation that suits you and the company.
The internship period is approx. 4-6 months, depending on your wishes and needs.
