Chef de Cuisine [Turkey]


 

SWOT Hospitality is looking for a creative Chef De Cuisine for our upcoming Greek restaurant in Istanbul, Turkey. Chef De Cuisine will lead and inspire our kitchen team in the creation of culinary masterpieces. The Chef De Cuisine will be responsible for planning and creating the menu, hiring, and training kitchen staff, collaborating with restaurant management, optimizing team productivity, and being ready to give a hand to help wherever needed.

To be successful in this position, you should have excellent leadership skills with experience managing a team with diverse nationalities in a high-pressure work demand. Top candidates are creative individuals with a passion for creative and sumptuous food and excellent service.

Chef De Cuisine Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all dishes meet the highest quality standards and are served on time with a great fresh and creative presentation.
  • Attention to details
  • Planning the menu and designing the plating presentation for each dish.
  • Led the kitchen team, and mentored them if required.
  • Recruiting and training the team to prepare and cook all the menu items.
  • Stocktaking ingredients and equipment, and placing orders as needed.
  • Enforcing best practices for Health and safety precautions
  • Creating new recipes to regularly update the menu.
  • Keeping track of new trends in the industry, up to date with the latest trends in the food & beverage industry.
  • Incorporating feedback from restaurant staff and patrons to make improvements or resolve issues.

Qualifications:

  • Qualification from a culinary school.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
  • In-depth knowledge of food principles and best practices.
  • Passion for creating incredible food that delights and attracts guests of all ages.
  • Excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, and good influence on the team.
  • Creative, innovative thinking.
  • Maintain highest standards for cleanliness, health, and safety.
  • Experience managing inventories and stocktaking.
