About the Job
We are searching for an experienced financial controller who can handle all aspects of financial management, including hotel accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control rules and processes.
We Provide Accommodation, Full Board, in the Hotel for non-Residents In Alexandria.
We Provide Health Insurance included in our package.
Financial Controller responsibilities include:
  • Controlling all financial and accounting activities.
  • Coordinating and supervising the budget, financial forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Creating and releasing monthly financial statements on schedule.
  • Financial risk management will be another duty of the Finance Controller.
  • Control all accounting activities, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and counsel, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Coordination, direction, and reporting of variations in the budget and financial predictions.
  • Construct and promptly release monthly financial statements.
  • Arrange for regulatory reporting to be prepared.
  • For compliance, research technical accounting issues.
  • Assist with the year-end and month-end closing processes.
  • Assure quality control of financial transactions and reporting
  • Manage and submit tax returns in accordance with local, state, and federal reporting standards.
  • To maintain and reinforce internal controls, develop and document corporate procedures and accounting regulations.
  • Any additional controller responsibilities.

Job Requirements

10+ Years of experience in the same position in hotels is a MUST .
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or similar major.
  • Should have a high command of MS Applications like Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both oral and written.
  • Excellent financial/business decision making.
  • Should possess strong financial knowledge.
  • Analytical skills and very well organized.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
