Job Summary:
As a Recruitment Manager you will be the key liaison with our business unit(s) in Korea. Taking the lead with end to end recruitment initiatives you will have direct responsibility for one Strategic Sourcing Recruiter. Together, you will drive success to deliver on our business objectives and ensure the highest standard of candidate care.
Key accountabilities will include (but not limited to)
  • Serves as a lead recruiting business partner. Consults/collaborates with business units on recruiting related issues. This includes working with business unit HR, management and may include partnering with an outsourced recruiting firm.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of recruiting plans and strategies to support business units’ recruiting needs.
  • Communicates recruiting initiatives to business unit HR, employees and management at all levels. This may include public speaking.
  • Maintains open communication with managers and business unit HR in determining recruiting needs.
  • Acts in a manager capacity (either directly or indirectly) with recruitment function and hiring managers through guidance and direction setting consistent with overall Fortrea principles.
  • Facilitates and drives recruiting process with hiring manager (sourcing, interviewing and selection).
  • Develops innovative sourcing solutions. Consistently evaluates current and new sourcing opportunities. Develops and maintains an effective recruiting network (e.g., college and job fair recruiting, conference or meeting attendance, trade journal use, and relationships with agencies and vendors).
  • Responsible for full-cycle recruitment activity (sources, screens and secures candidates) for a wide range of positions, including senior level and technical positions. Responsible for hands-on recruiting for mid to entry level recruiting is typically supported through team members
  • Trains and orientates employees with respect to recruiting procedures, effective interviewing skills, and federal/state laws.
  • Maintains legally required files for job openings and candidate selection.
  • Produces requested information for monthly reports as needed.
  • Maintains required logs (example: global requisition report, employee referral log).
  • Ensures metrics are achieved within Service Level Agreement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

About you
  • Advanced level of recruiting experience acting as a Lead Recruiter or Manager covering end to end recruitment for professional level roles (previous recruiting experience in a Clinical Research Organisation preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English, with capability to utilize these in developing effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal qualities, including problem solving, influencing, negotiating, facilitating and strong partnership skills. Teams with business units and HR to accomplish results.
  • Able to interact and build relationships with hiring managers. Demonstrated ability to communicate, partner and present information to members of senior management.
  • Ability to work with team members and hiring managers in a “virtual” setting. May be physically remote from recruiting team members, hiring managers and/or supervisor. Resourceful, decisive and proactive. Leads by example in supporting change. Results oriented with excellent organizational skills while working in an environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking.
  • Ability to deal with unusual or unexpected issues in an independent manner; ability to multi-task several priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with ability to work with a multi-functional team.
  • Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills; willingness and capability to conduct presentations.
  • Attention to detail, organization and follow-up skills are critical to this position.
  • Logical and analytical thinking skills; ability to apply these to developing practical, yet creative problem-solving approaches.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Strong basic computer skills (Microsoft Office software, Workday).
  • Extensive knowledge of Human Resources practices, laws and regulations in South Korea, especially related to recruiting.
  • Flexibility in supporting various business units globally required. Limited international travel required.
