Assistant Manager / International Relations [2-Year Contract]
What you will be working on
- International Partnership:
To plan, develop and implement TP’s internationalisation engagement strategies, projects, programmes and visits including:
- Working with partners in targeted country engagement to secure projects and overseas programmes for staff and students
- Engaging international and regional organisations etc for overseas programmes and funding
- Organising international conference/symposium/programmes
- Managing collaborative projects and programmes between the schools/depts and overseas partners
- Establishing useful links with good standing foreign universities
- IR Advisory & Staffing
- MOUs/Agreements
- Hosting of international visits
- Overseas trips by TP senior management
- IR engagements at TP/schools/centres database
- IR Capability Development for TP staff
- Identify and plan for programmes that would equip staff with the necessary skills for leading the overseas student trips
- IR Advisory Council
- Research, identify and propose candidate for the position
- Terms of reference
- Support functions related to the Advisory Council
- IR Policy Advisory & MOE reporting related to IR matters
- Research and evaluation on policies and engagement
- Review of policies
- To attend to MOE’s request for information and reporting on IR matters
To support other administrative roles of the department
What we are looking for
- Experience in international relations, overseas project and event management and overseas working experience would be an advantage
- Good leadership, communication and strong interpersonal skills
- A strong team player, able to work under pressure and tight timelines when necessary
- Ability to travel overseas for business and student trips
